2026 marks the thirtieth anniversary of the entry into force of Law No. 447 of October 26, 1995, the “Framework Law on Noise Pollution,” a turning point in Italian environmental legislation. Over these three decades, the law has enabled the development of a prevention and control system, fostering growing public and institutional awareness. Thanks to its innovative approach, much of the country now has operational tools such as noise classification, municipal regulations, remediation plans, and noise impact and climate assessments. However, the passage of time today calls for a reflection on some new opportunities that have emerged from the implementation of the law: the legislative framework has become more complex, technologies and lifestyles have changed, and new sources of noise require updated tools. The conference aims to provide an opportunity to review the positive results achieved to date and, at the same time, initiate a constructive discussion on current and future challenges, also in light of the European objectives of sustainability and environmental well-being.

Participation in the conference is free but registration is required.
