Awards

“AMEDEO GIACOMINI” award is addressed to young researchers, those who are aged under 30, who received a Master’s degree with a thesis in acoustics in the calendar year preceding the award edition.
The award includes the preparation of a scientific paper with oral presentation, to be presented at the AIA annual national conference, and an extended article to be submitted for publication in the Rivista Italiana di Acustica.

The winner will receive a plaque and a mention at the AIA annual national conference.
The winner is exempted from paying the registration fee for this conference. The travel and accommodation expenses will be reimbursed.

Graduates in 2019 calendar year will participate in the 2020 edition of the “AMEDEO GIACOMINI” award.

Due to the postponement of the main activities planned for the current year, following the health emergency, the deadlines for the AIA award calls are extended as follows:
• 30 June, deadline for applications;
• July 15, communication of the awarding of prizes.
The procedures of participation remain unchanged.

“GINO G. SACERDOTE” award is addressed to young researchers, those who are aged under 35, who received a PhD with a doctoral thesis in acoustics in the calendar year preceding the award edition.
The award includes the preparation of a scientific paper with oral presentation, to be presented at the AIA annual national conference, and an extended article to be submitted for publication in the Rivista Italiana di Acustica.
The winner will receive a plaque and a mention at the AIA annual national conference.

“ITALO BARDUCCI” award is aimed at encouraging and enhancing the scientific activity of young scientists and researchers involved in various fields of acoustics.

The award is open to individuals, or teams of maximum 3 young researchers, all those who are aged under 35, who are presenting a poster communication to the AIA annual national conference.
The award will be given to the best poster communication among the applications received. It will be selected by a jury, appointed by the AIA Board of Directors, on the basis of the paper contents, its novelty characteristics and the clarity of the poster presentation.
The award consists in an economic contribution of 600 Euros for the participation to an international event on acoustic (conference, seminar, course, etc.) scheduled within the calendar year following the award edition.
The proclamation of the winning poster will take place at the closing ceremony of the AIA annual national conference. The winner is exempted from paying the registration fee for this conference.
